This is a question that I’m often asked, particularly in the UK, where health coaching is less common.
Think of a certified health coach as someone who is qualified to guide you through making positive changes in your lifestyle.
Whilst doctors in general practice tend to focus on pharmaceutical drugs and surgery, the tools that a health coach will leverage include a big focus on diet and exercise, and other strategies and techniques that lead to a healthy body and mind.
We don’t diagnose, but often work in partnership with doctors and other health practitioners to help you put their advice into pracise.
Ultimately we focus on the whole person, and understand the interconnections between our brains and our bodies.
We’re part of your support team.
Having worked with many people over the years, one thing I’ve learnt is that knowing what to do isn’t the problem. Whilst intentions at the start of a change programme are good, it’s easy to get discouraged along the way and slip back into bad habits.
Through Raw Energy, you have access to a range of qualified, virtual health coaches to work with you to create set goals, create inspiring strategies, take action, get through the bumps and be successful.
If you’ve never worked with a health coach before, here’s what you can expect:

- Support to set inspiring goals for your health and wellbeing – whether you want to reduce stress, increase your physical energy, lose weight, prevent disease
- Practical guidance on what foods to buy; where to buy them and how to store them for maximum nutritional benefit
Our focus is on giving you the skills, strategies and tools that you need to develop your own personalised wellbeing programme, so that you can live your life well.
