I accidentally ordered too much of a few things this week and was a bit alarmed to receive three enormous boxes of garlic granules, sea salt and sundried tomatoes.

Still, they will last and with that in mind, I was delighted to see Nina Dench’s recipe for Barbecue Sauce which is one of my favourite raw salad dressings of all time. Here’s the recipe which makes approximately 1 cup.

What you’ll need?

½ cup water

¼ cup agave syrup

¼ cup sundried tomatoes in olive oil

2 Tablespoons olive oil

1 Tablespoon tamarind paste

½ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon ground clove

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

  1. Blend until smooth.
  2. Store in refrigerator.
