Well how was your new year?
Mine was very quiet this year, spent at home with my lovely family, all of whom didn’t quite make it to midnight, leaving me to enjoy the fireworks on my own!
So here we are in 2015. A new year, and a opportunity to draw a line under the past and start afresh.
Over the last couple of weeks I have spent some time looking back at 2014: what i achieved; what i learnt and what I could have done differently if I had the opportunity to play 2014 again from the start.
This ‘review and reflection’ is an activity that I always do at this time of year, but I was more thorough in 2014, not just focusing on the things that went to plan, no. I spent a lot more time actually focused on the things that didn’t go to plan and why and was very honest with myself, which highlighted some incredibly useful insights which have fed into my goals, resolutions and plans for the future.
Anyway, enough about me. What about you?
- What are your learnings from 2014?
- What do you want to do, have and experience in 2015?
- What are you going to remove from your life to make space for new things?
- What new habits are you going to introduce?
All big questions I know, and to help me answer these questions, I have been using a framework that I first developed in 1999 when I was at a cross-roads in my life.
Since then, I have been using the framework every year to review my current situation and then create a vision for my future life, including setting goals and plans for each part of my life. The framework has evolved a lot over the years, but has been such a valuable tool in my life.
Whilst I have been developing my own framework which is now spot on for my needs, I was really pleased to see that Leonie Dawson has created a goals workbook specifically to help women walk through the process of setting goals and reviewing them every quarter so that you can have the best 2015 possible.
According to Leonie, only 20% of people actually do set goals, and of those, just 1% write them down and regularly review them. And guess what, this 1% are in the top achievers in the world!
So if you need some help setting goals, and would like a copy of Leonie’s workbook, then just click here for more information. It’ll make a big difference, as long as you use it of course!
So finally, I just want to say thanks again for all your support throughout 2014.
2014 was a good year for Raw Energy as moved forward on many fronts and I want to thank you for engaging, sharing and giving us valuable feedback. Thank you.
Remember I am always available to answer questions if you feel inspired to reach out, and I’m very much looking forward to connecting with you and serving you this year to help you live your life well.
Happy 2015!
