After a manic week, I’m suffering today with a really bad throat. I know from past experience that if I don’t have a break, it’ll turn into a chest infection and I’ll miss all of the festivities planned for the week ahead.

So, instead of travelling to Cheltenham today, I have changed my plans and am stayed home to rest and get myself better.

To help with this healing, I’ve just made a delicious soup in my Vitamix which has gone down really well with Heather and (after some encouragement) 7-year old Samson.

I’m no chef by any means, but I can certainly find my way around the kitchen and enjoy preparing meals that take no more than 5 minutes prep time!

My rawish (but hot) Kale and Carrot soup took exactly five minutes. So here’s the recipe, although you’ll need to use your own judgement on the amounts:

What’s you’ll need

Seaweed, Kelp, Kale, Carrots, Garlic, Paprika, Coconut oil, flax seeds, maca, mushroom stock, black pepper, chilli powder, boiled water

Instructions

Fill your vitamix/blender with the above ingredients. Cover with boiling water until the half way mark. Switch on until blended (1 minute)

Drink!
